Environment
- IDE: Android Code Studio v1.0.0+gh.r4
- Package: com.tom.rv2ide
- Device: vivo Y55s (6GB + 128GB)
- Architecture: aarch64 (
uname -m)
- AGP: 9.3.0
- Gradle: 9.5.0
- compileSdk: 37
- Kotlin: 2.3.10
Problem
processDebugResources fails every build with AAPT2 daemon startup error:
AAPT2 aapt2-9.3.0-15703166-linux Daemon #0: Unexpected error output:
.../aapt2-9.3.0-15703166-linux/aapt2: 1: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")
Evidence
The cached aapt2 is a valid ELF binary, but its ELF header shows e_machine = 0x3e (EM_X86_64):
7f 45 4c 46 02 01 01 00 ...
03 00 3e 00 01 00 00 00 ...
The device is aarch64, so the IDE is using an x86_64 AAPT2 binary on an ARM64 device, leading to the shell error.
Steps already tried
- Cleared / moved away Gradle transform cache
- Removed
com.android.tools.build:aapt2 cache
- Rebuilt with
--no-daemon
- Reordered repositories to official
google() first
Expected
Android Code Studio should provide or correctly select an aarch64 AAPT2 binary on ARM64 devices.
