Hi All,
An item was brought to the CoDICE team’s attention regarding metadata for the l2_lo-sw-species product.
The y-axis label in Cava says ‘Energy Index’ when plotting. However, when plotting l2 data, the y-axis should really be in physical values (i.e., energy per charge (keV/e)).
I think the issue is that the depend_1 for the sw-species-intensities (i.e., ‘hplus’ variable) is the esa_step variable rather than the energy_per_charge. What we really would like is for the data variables to depend on the energy_per_charge so that the physical values (in keV/e) are plotted on the y-axis rather than the esa steps (0 -127).
I am not sure how to resolve this in the cdf structures or if there is time before the upcoming data release.
Thanks,
Michael Starkey
