"import platform" throws an exception in a .Net 10 application, but fine in .Net 6

I have a WPF desktop application that loads, compiles, the executes a .py file that includes the line
import platform
This works fine in the .Net 6 version of the application, but after migrating to .Net 10 it throws the following error:

"Type doesn't have a method with a given name and signature. (Parameter 'type')"
