Sometimes the playback just gets stuck

Describe the bug/crash

Every once in a while, the next track is just crickets. It's not paused, but playback doesn't proceed. Going to a previous track and forward again fixes it temporarily. This has been a problem since I started using this app and has been ongoing for about a year now. I use ReplayGain and mainly play FLAC or Opus files, if that's relevant. On older versions the progress bar would progress until the end and get stuck, but on newer versions it seems to not progress at all.

Provide a sample file

This is not a consistently reproducible issue and I have not noticed a pattern in which music files causes this or if there's any relation to specific music files at all. I'll keep an eye out for this.

Just hit it again on an Opus then an MP3. The play/pause button doesn't do anything in this stuck state.

This is a known ExoPlayer bug that I've yet to figure out but keeping it open @DuckDuckWhale

Good to know that it's not just me. I've also noticed that if left alone for long enough, at least in the newer versions, eventually the next music file would play. In older versions where the progress bar would progress, it would eventually reach the end and still show as playing, so I thought it is permanently stuck, but this is not the case in newer versions.
