Feature Request: Expose Dock Energy Consumption and Power Metrics
Description
I would like to request support for exposing energy-related telemetry from Roborock docks, specifically for newer models such as the Saros Z70 with Multifunctional Dock 4.0.
Currently, Home Assistant exposes multiple dock-related sensors such as:
- Dock washing mode
- Dust collection mode
- Mop washing interval
- Remaining mop drying time
However, no power or energy related metrics appear to be available for dock-equipped models. 【1-4eb856】【2-83151c】
Requested Metrics
If these values are available through the Roborock cloud API or local protocol, it would be extremely useful to expose:
Real-time Sensors
- Dock power consumption (W)
- Charging power (W)
- Mop drying power (W)
- Hot water washing power (W)
Energy Statistics
- Daily energy consumption (kWh)
- Weekly energy consumption (kWh)
- Monthly energy consumption (kWh)
- Lifetime dock energy consumption (kWh)
Optional Operational Metrics
- Energy used for charging
- Energy used for mop drying
- Energy used for hot water washing
- Energy used for dust collection
Use Case
Many Home Assistant users monitor energy usage through the Energy Dashboard.
Modern Roborock docks contain several high-power components:
- Battery charging
- Dust collection motor
- Hot water mop washing
- Warm air mop drying
The dock can consume significantly more energy than traditional charging-only docks, making energy visibility valuable for users who optimize household energy usage.
Additional Information
I reviewed the current python-roborock implementation and available dock sensors but could not find any exposed energy-related attributes or entities. It is unclear whether the data is unavailable from the Roborock API or simply not yet mapped by python-roborock. 【1-4eb856】【2-83151c】
If the Roborock API already provides these values internally, exposing them through python-roborock would allow Home Assistant and other consumers to create proper Energy Dashboard integrations.
Device
- Roborock Saros Z70
- Multifunctional Dock 4.0
Thank you for considering this feature request.
