Add a fix Break time

I miss the option to set a fixed “break” time for each day.
You start your work shift and end it. The time is then deducted based on the break time you entered.
Or you could set this as a fixed block, but it would need to be customizable on a day-by-day basis. For example, 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The system wouldn’t record anything during that time. That way, you’d always end up with just your actual work time.

Currently, you have to stop the system for the break and then start it again.

You can do a few thing that could make this easier for you.

• set the "break" activity to have a default duration. That way you don't have to stip it, but of course "work" won't start again afterward.
• set up complex rules to stop "work" when you start "break", and vice versa. Or disable the multitasking setting.
• Put a widget for the activities (single, or grid) on your home screen for easy access.
• look into automation via android events, use another app to automatocally send them based on your schedule. You could automatically stop "work", start "break", and then switch back after the break automatically. I don't know how to do that, or with which app.

Other than that I don't think setting up a timetable for pre-planned entries is something that is planned.
It could benefit by some kind of connection to a calendar, but even then you'd probably want to manually confirm switching activities. So It'd only work as a kind of alarm anyway.

Thank you very much for the quick response.
My situation is that I have fixed break times that are deducted from my total hours throughout the day. It would be very helpful to use the app to compare this with the company time tracking, which is why I had this idea.

I’ll take a look at what you suggested.
But I find the automation idea the most exciting; I’ll look into it a bit more. Maybe I’ll come up with a solution that’s helpful for everyone facing this problem.

Unfortunately, I haven't found a practical way to solve this using the tips.
A manual event with a fixed time would then have to be triggered at exactly the right moment, and the normal work event would then have to be started again at exactly the right time.
It might be possible using an external trigger app (Tasker, Automate, MacroDroid). Unfortunately, I don’t understand enough about these apps and their capabilities. But I don’t want to spend days figuring this out either.
