The two are released in lockstep (rusty_alloc-api 2.2.5 requires rusty_alloc 2.2.5), so the API bump the rollout made could not resolve until the core pin moved with it. Lockfile-only update for the allocator crates; the cargo-vet store (where present) covers rusty_alloc 2.2.5 the same way it covered the previous version, and trusts portable-atomic's GitHub trusted-publishing workflow (owner decision 2026-10-08, Tim Almond).
