Having batteries complicates that a lot, because the SolarEdge inverter doesn't provide a separate data point for that over modbus. The app platform does calculations to present that information that the inverter/modbus doesn't do. You will need to create templates: I do not personally have batteries so I don't have any direct personal experience with this. |

I've done it like this:
The names of the two 'source' sensors refer to Explanation: The inverter returns a value of The reason I have the max() function is because sometimes, the calculation briefly returns a negative number which obviously can't be right. I don't want my dashboards to go weird with a negative solar power value. While this is sufficient for my use cases (dashboards only), I've noticed that it is not always the same as what the SolarEdge app shows as the currently produced solar power. I guess that's because the DC power the inverter is producing (either from solar or from the batteries) gets converted to AC power for supply to the house/grid, and there is obviously some conversion loss. It's not entirely clear to me if the SolarEdge app shows the DC or the AC power. Here's a nice touch for a dashboard: I use the Mushroom template card and in the 'content' field I use this code to automatically switch to a rounded kW value with 1 decimal for large power values:

Good morning, among the entities that Home Assistant suggests (5 devices and 192 entities—L1, L1B1, L2, L2B1, L1M1), I can’t find one that shows me the total power output of the solar panels.
Is it possible to add an entity that displays the power generated, like on the SolarEdge app?
Is this a limitation of the meter?
Thank you
