We pledge to make participation in LEP a welcoming, harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of background, identity, experience level, or role. Technical disagreement is welcome; personal attacks, intimidation, and exclusion are not.
Examples of behavior that strengthens the community include:
- being specific, patient, and respectful in technical discussion;
- assuming good intent while still asking for evidence;
- giving and accepting constructive feedback;
- acknowledging uncertainty, protocol limits, and mistakes;
- helping new contributors find enough context to make progress;
- prioritizing the safety and privacy of people affected by captured device data.
Unacceptable behavior includes harassment, discriminatory language, sexualized attention, threats, doxxing, sustained disruption, or publishing another person's private information without permission.
This code applies in repository issues, pull requests, discussions, community chat, events, and public spaces where someone represents LEP.
Report conduct concerns privately to the maintainers through a private
repository advisory,
with Code of Conduct at the start of the report. Do not open a public issue
about a sensitive incident.
Maintainers will review reports promptly, protect reporter privacy as far as possible, and may edit or remove content, issue a warning, temporarily restrict participation, or permanently ban someone when necessary. Anyone with a conflict of interest must recuse themselves from handling the report.
This policy is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
