It would be convenient if the names of the cases and cads folders were derived from the name of the cad file (.step), in order to better organize and identify the information.

No because more often than not the same name is used for different versions of the CAD geometry. Let alone same names with different content (i.e. bracket or beam). The same ideas applies to case names.

What we can do is have a symlink with the cad or case name to the hash. When a new comes by, it is overwritten.
Do you think you can create a PR implementing that?
