From 1b512f127467d257fc21c06a3c424ba559a0c5f5 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Alex Grozav Date: Thu, 22 Oct 2026 16:25:49 +0300 Subject: [PATCH] feat(docs): split the Textarea page into an overview and a page per layer The Textarea page becomes a folder shaped like the Button's: an Overview with a card per layer, and a page each for UI, UX, DX and AX, with that layer's rules and questions. The text moves as it is. Links to the page's own sections now go to the part that holds them. They look like an input that's a few lines taller, which is why they're so often built as one and inherit all of its problems, along with a few of their own. Think of a box too small to see what you've written, a limit that silently cuts off the end of what you pasted, or an `Enter` key that sends a message you were still writing. - -This page walks you through building one the right way. The code under each example comes in React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, Solid, Astro and Vanilla, written for a Textarea with the same API in each. Pick yours from the Framework select above the sidebar. Vanilla is plain HTML and JavaScript, so it writes out the markup from the [DOM contract](/docs/components/textarea#deterministic). - -The Textarea is the box you write in, like the [Input](/docs/components/input) is for a single line. Its label, hint and error message are elements of their own, which you link to it by ID, and a Field component, which is on our [Roadmap](/docs/getting-started/roadmap), will put them together for you. Until then, the examples do it with a plain `
