How do i set background colour of the time-axis where data is present

I am implementing a timeline graph using angular-vis.js. I want to highlight the time axis where data is present.
if I apply css style to .vis-time-axis .vis-foreground entire time axis is highlighted. Is it possible to highlight the time axis dynamically(only month,day,year which has data)?

The angular directive is just a simple wrapper over the vis library - I’d suggest to check out what the library offers.

I did look at the library-in grid background section. But it has fixed set of classes which can be highlighted.

If the feature isn’t available in the vis library, then for sure it won’t be available in the directive - sorry.
