What happened?

After the new update of Zed, the Java LSP is not working anymore saying Failed to get proxy binary path: 'java-lsp-proxy.exe' not found. I checked uninstalling and installing again. Then went to the folder of the extension: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Zed\extensions\work\java
It was completely empty. I even tried to download and paste the java-lsp-proxy.exe from the releases and paste it into proxy folder. Didn't work at all. Now I don't have Java language support, just the syntax highlighting.

What did you expect to happen?

I expected just like the other updates to see the Java LSP working normally.

Might you try to completely reinstall the extension? If the issue persist refer to the README on how to provide a custom path to the proxy binary while we look into the issue

@tartarughina I have tried reinstalling the extension even reinstalling Zed itself. It still persists. Let me share my error log:

@tartarughina didn't tweak any extension settings. Full as it was when Zed installed. Just installed the Java extension. It was even working for almost months. Recently for a week after an update came to Zed, it started doing this.n

@mmycin that line is not helping a lot. It is stating only what we already know.

Could you reinstall the extension, open a Java file, and once that's done, dump the whole log from Zed here?

@mmycin no, sadly the logs do not capture the instance in which our extension tries to download the binary. As I pointed out before, you can for now overcome the issue by retrieving the binary yourself and instruct the extension where to find it.

@tartarughina after I reinstalled, it emptied the java folder in the extensions directory. Now I'd have to add everything manually from settings.
