fix(router): route /mcp and root OAuth discovery to the Cloud app - #250
Production counterpart to AgentWorkforce/cloud#5584, which serves the hosted MCP at https://agentrelay.com/mcp as its own OAuth resource. The apex router here had no mapping for /mcp or the root discovery documents, so they hit the marketing site and 404'd. This adds the same rewrites packages/router gets in that PR:
The /mcp endpoint gets its own rewriteCloudMcpPath because it must forward every method; the discovery rewrites keep the existing GET/HEAD gate and PRIMARY_HOST restriction.
/mcp/x, /mcpx, and /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp/x are left alone.
Recorder redaction already strips authorization and cookies, so MCP bearer tokens don't reach the replay corpus.
Deploy ordering
Deploy this after cloud#5584 is live. Before that, /cloud/mcp and /cloud/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp don't exist, so the new /mcp routes return Cloud 404s instead of marketing 404s. That's not a regression. The bare oauth-authorization-server fallback works against today's Cloud.
Tests
router/test/oauth-well-known.test.ts:
pure mapping tests for the new discovery paths and for /mcp and /mcp/, plus negatives
end-to-end worker.fetch: both protected-resource paths forward to cloud-web; /mcp and /mcp/ POSTs forward with method, Authorization header and body intact
a POST to a discovery path is not rewritten. I checked this test fails if the GET/HEAD gate is removed.

Summary by cubic
Routes the hosted MCP endpoint and root OAuth discovery documents through the apex router to the Cloud app, so https://agentrelay.com/mcp and its OAuth metadata no longer 404 on the marketing site.
/mcp and /mcp/ forward to /cloud/mcp for every method (Streamable HTTP POST, GET SSE, DELETE), while the discovery rewrites keep the existing GET/HEAD gate and PRIMARY_HOST restriction.
Bare /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server fall back to the /mcp-specific documents for clients that skip path insertion.
/mcp/x, /mcpx, and nested discovery subpaths are left alone.
Deployment: deploy after cloud#5584 is live, or the new /mcp routes return Cloud 404s instead of marketing 404s. The bare oauth-authorization-server fallback works against the current Cloud app.

Mirror cloud#5584's packages/router rewrites in the production apex router so
https://agentrelay.com/mcp reaches the hosted MCP server and its OAuth
discovery resolves:
- /mcp and /mcp/ -> /cloud/mcp, for every method (Streamable HTTP POST,
GET SSE, DELETE)
- /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp and the bare
/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource -> the /mcp protected-resource doc
- bare /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server -> the Cloud AS metadata
Discovery documents stay GET/HEAD-only, as before.

The router adds root OAuth metadata rewrites and maps /mcp and /mcp/ to /cloud/mcp. On agentrelay.com, it applies the MCP rewrite for any method and limits OAuth metadata rewrites to GET and HEAD.
Changes: MCP routing and metadata discovery

Summary
Discovery and MCP path mappings router/index.ts, router/test/oauth-well-known.test.ts
The rewrite table adds root metadata paths, and rewriteCloudMcpPath maps /mcp and /mcp/ to /cloud/mcp. Tests cover these mappings and paths left unchanged.
Host routing and request forwarding router/index.ts, router/test/oauth-well-known.test.ts
On agentrelay.com, the router tries the MCP rewrite for any method and applies OAuth metadata rewrites only to GET or HEAD requests. Tests cover forwarding behavior for discovery and POST requests.

🟡 MCP streams leave recorder tasks open
When an MCP GET returns a live SSE stream, recorderRequestClone passes its clone to maybeRecord. The recorder waits for the entire response, keeping its task open without writing a record.
Learn more
The new public /mcp route is rewritten to /cloud/mcp, which enters the existing cloud worker branch. That branch clones the response and starts maybeRecord, which reads the complete response body with text() before storing a record. A GET that returns a long-lived SSE stream therefore keeps the recorder task open until the stream ends, and a stream that stays open never produces a record.
Example: A client subscribes with GET /mcp and keeps the SSE connection open for a session. The router serves events, but its recorder waits for EOF instead of completing.
Recommended fix: Exclude MCP streaming requests from recorderRequestClone, or implement bounded streaming capture that does not await EOF. Validate both GET streams and POST responses that can stream.

🟥 Private MCP conversations enter replay corpus
An authenticated /mcp exchange reaches maybeRecord, which stores request and response bodies. Header redaction leaves MCP tool arguments and results intact, exposing private conversation data to corpus readers.

Exclude /cloud/mcp from the recorder.
When the recorder is configured and sampling selects the request, the /mcp rewrite makes the request path /cloud/mcp before recorderRequestClone is created. The path gate excludes only favicon, health, and observer paths, so the recorder can persist JSON-RPC arguments and results. JSON redaction removes selected secret keys, not arbitrary tool data.
The recorder also clones and reads every response body with text(). It has no SSE or content-type bypass. An open SSE response can therefore keep the recorder's waitUntil task pending until the stream ends. The 256 KiB limit applies after the body is read, so it does not limit the read duration. The same behavior applies to existing /cloud/* routes; this PR newly places MCP traffic in that existing recording policy.
