Pathfinder

Free particle-map sampler VST3 by Audio Tech Hub

Point Pathfinder at your sample folder and it maps every sound into an explorable constellation. Draw paths through the map to play sounds in sequence, step-sequence them FL-style, explode a single sample into playable slices, and shape everything with built-in effects — reverb, granular, and more.

Download

Grab the latest installer from the Releases page:

Platform File
Windows 10/11 (64-bit) Pathfinder-1.0.0-win64-setup.exe
macOS (signed + notarized) Pathfinder-1.0.0-macos.pkg

Plugin format: VST3 (instrument). Load it in your DAW, hit SCAN, choose your sample folder, and explore.

Highlights

  • 🌌 Constellation view — your whole sample library as a navigable particle map, clustered by sonic character
  • ✏️ Path drawing — sketch a line through the map and play it back as a melodic/rhythmic sequence, synced to host tempo
  • 🎛️ Step sequencer — six lanes, swing, micro-timing nudge, MIDI performance mode
  • 💥 Explode — dissect any sample into tempo-synced slices, each one a playable particle
  • 🎚️ Effects rack — reverb, granular, and more on a wet/dry bus, all saved with presets
  • 💾 Full preset system — sounds, paths, drawn lines, effects, and categories all recall per preset and per DAW instance
