Getting Started

Getting started and interface tour

First-time setup

1. Open Settings > Folders and Tools....
2. Point Dying Audio at any game roots, cache roots, Dying Light Developer Tools (DLDT), FFmpeg, vgmstream, or Wwise installs you plan to use.
3. Use Help > Tool Status... to confirm which helpers are ready and which are still missing.
4. Reopen the welcome wizard from Settings > Open Welcome Menu if you want the guided checklist again.

If a path box is blank, the app often tries auto-discovery first and only asks you to browse manually when needed.

Choose the right workspace

• Dying Light 1: for .csb editing, DL1 bank rebuilds, and audio export.
• Dying Light 2 / The Beast: for Wwise archive browsing, media export, and experimental AESP editing.
• Other: for read-only pack browsing plus optional replacement work on AKPK or other .pck content. (Not Dying Light related)
