### iOS Point SDK v17.2.1

This is a maintenance release that improves custom event metadata persistence.

**What's Improved:**

- **Custom event metadata persistence:** Custom event metadata now persists across app termination and SDK restarts, so the metadata you set remains attached to Geo-triggering events without needing to be re-applied.

**How it works:**

- Metadata is retained after the app is swipe-killed.
- Entry, Exit, and Dwell events include the metadata.
- Metadata survives stopping and restarting Geo-triggering.
- Behaviour is aligned with the Android Point SDK implementation.

We recommend updating to benefit from these improvements.
