About the Project

TaskNexus simplifies the software development lifecycle by integrating requirement submission, AI-based validation, automated job generation, and task breakdown into a single platform. It ensures that customer needs are translated into technical tasks efficiently and accurately.

Key Features

  • AI-Powered Requirement Analysis: Validate safety, ethics, and clarity of requirements using Gemini AI.
  • Automated Decomposition: Automatically break down requirements into Jobs and Tasks.
  • AI Sprint Retrospectives: Generate constructive summaries of sprint outcomes automatically.
  • AI QA & Test Analysis: Automatically parse test logs to determine pass/fail confidence and extract critical bugs.
  • Simulated CI/CD Integrations: Trigger simulated deployments and webhook actions with comprehensive audit logging.
  • Role-Based Access Control: Granular permissions for Admins, Managers, Employees, and Customers.
  • Real-Time Tracking: Kanban boards and progress bars for transparent workflow management.

Roles & Responsibilities

The system orchestrates five distinct user roles. Below is the detailed breakdown of their capabilities.

👑 1. Super Admin

The highest authority, capable of managing the entire system ecosystem.

  • User Management: Create and manage Admin, Manager, and Employee accounts.
  • System Oversight: Access to all logs (Server & Audit) and full observability.
  • Emergency Controls: Override automated checks, force approvals, and manage suspensions.
  • Context Switching: Simulate other user workflows for testing and support.

🛡️ 2. Admin

Focuses on system maintenance and high-level oversight.

  • Auditing: Monitor system actions via detailed audit logs.
  • Configuration: Manage general system settings.
  • Read-Only Access: View project details without modification rights (segregation of duties).

👔 3. Manager

The operational lead for projects and teams.

  • Project Lifecycle: Create projects and define scope.
  • Requirement Gateway: Review, approve, or reject incoming customer requirements.
  • Work Assignment: Publish jobs to the pool and oversee task progression.
  • AI Utilization: Trigger AI analysis for requirements and job breakdowns.

👷 4. Employee (Developer)

The execution arm of the workflow.

  • Job Pool Access: Browse and self-assign available jobs.
  • Task Execution: detailed task management via Kanban board (ToDo -> Done).
  • Progress Reporting: Real-time status updates on assigned work.

👤 5. Customer

The initiator of requirements.

  • Submission Portal: Submit functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Transparency: specific views to track completion percentage and active developers.
  • Feedback Loop: Receive detailed AI-driven feedback on rejected requirements.

Workflows

Requirement to Task Flow

  1. Submission: Customer submits a requirement.
  2. AI Guardrails: System validates for safety and clarity (Auto-Reject if invalid).
  3. Manager Review: Manual approval of valid requirements.
  4. Job Generation: AI converts requirements into technical jobs.
  5. Execution: Employees accept jobs, breaking them down into tasks and completing them.
