🎯 What: Evaluated the generate_port_matrix_markdown function in server_manager/src/services/mod.rs reported as unused dead code.

💡 Why: Investigated references across the codebase and confirmed that generate_port_matrix_markdown is NOT dead code. It is a core utility actively relied upon by:

  • server_manager/tests/contract_port_matrix.rs (test_port_matrix_documentation_sync for verifying docs/PORT-MATRIX.md against typed service specifications in Rust)
  • server_manager/tests/contract_performance_budgets.rs (test_budget_port_matrix_generation_under_5ms for budget compliance)
  • server_manager/benches/service_benchmark.rs (benchmark_port_matrix_generation)

Verification: Verified that contract tests (cargo test --test contract_port_matrix --test contract_performance_budgets) pass cleanly and ./verify.sh succeeds. Preserving this function ensures contract test integrity and documentation generation capabilities.

Result: Retained function unchanged to maintain system integrity and contract test compliance.
