feat(materials): SpoolEase read-only material provider (#39) - #52
Conversation
…ling (#39) Adds SpoolEase alongside Spoolman/Bambuddy in Materials provider settings: session-only security key (zustand + transient draft, never localStorage), keyEpoch reset signal on kind-change/clear, stale-Test-response discard via request sequence numbers, string-or-number slot ids, and downgrade-safe kind validation on read. ProviderStatusNote surfaces provider-unavailable status in SendReadyCard only. tools/acceptance gains a Node fake SpoolEase server (byte-exact KDF/f32/CSV/fixed-nonce vectors) and two new installed-build phases (provider-spoolease, provider-spoolease-restored). Implemented by codex gpt-5.6-luna across sessions 01a0e9c0-9881-7e93-b050-d99d3c3a639a (initial implementation), 01a0e9ce-139e-7c20-af77-0f310af1cec9 (fix: missing RTL cleanup causing cross-test DOM leakage), and 01a0e9cf-edf2-7901-9b3e-a47da057e556 (fix: wrap external zustand mutation in act() in MaterialProviderSettings.test.tsx); committed by wrapper due to sandbox git-metadata restriction. Verified independently outside the Codex sandbox (network/spawn restricted there): npm run test -> 538 passed (54 files); npm run build (tsc && vite build) green. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…vDeps (#39) Lockfile regeneration for the jsdom, @testing-library/react and @testing-library/dom devDependencies added by desktop/package.json in the prior commit. O-6 gate verified: all 49 pre-existing linux-* optional platform node_modules entries remain present (before == after, byte-diffed by entry name); no platform block was pruned. Generated via `npm install --save-dev jsdom` then `npm install` outside the Codex sandbox (which has no network access) by the dispatch wrapper. …sport (#39) Wave 1 of #39 (plan-39 v3 + v3.1 addendum + v3.2-v3.4 notes). - snapstudio_core/spoolease_wire.py: SpoolEase Console wire codec as inspected at upstream SpoolEase 3532f8d / esp-hal-app-framework 0.6.1 (43daad9): PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 key derivation, AES-256-GCM frames, base64 no-pad, CSV records. - material_providers: SPOOLEASE provider; weights are DERIVED with a per-spool note; key passed per request, never stored or logged. Shared local-only transport: resolved addresses filtered to local ones, per-candidate connect slice, proxies ignored, bounded body, premature-EOF detection, uniform timeout wording for all providers. - material_plan: undated "enough" results carry a caveat for any provider (blank dates included). - service/server: provider_key on four routes; provider_status on every upload shape; provider_test carries error_code/with_weight. - CI/release workflows: frozen-sidecar SpoolEase test after the freeze. Verified: backend .venv pytest -q -> 2175 passed, 47 skipped (4 new env-gated frozen-sidecar skips); actionlint clean on the three edited workflows. Checkpoint commit before paired result review. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
… suite (#39) Adds the frozen session-only copy under the SpoolEase key field and the plan's desktop tests: key cleared on provider switch (committed and draft), clear-then-reselect, remount never restores the key to localStorage, stale success/rejection discarded, busy owned by the superseding Test, errors and success never show the key, relaunch keeps kind/URL but not the key, SpoolEase never labelled "tracked", keyEpoch semantics and non-persistence. Implemented by Codex gpt-5.6-luna (session 01a0e9e5); committed by the execution session (Codex cannot write .git on Windows). Verified: desktop npm run test -> 548 passed (54 files); npm run build ok. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…v6, resets (#39) Upload-shape matrix for provider_status (changed only reachable with a recheck), key semantics (inner whitespace, Unicode, no length cap), real TLS with SNI, Windows numeric IPv6 scope via the real resolver, reset-mid-body and wrapped connect/read timeouts through the real transport for Spoolman and Bambuddy, wire errors never OSError. Verified: backend .venv pytest -q -> 2219 passed, 47 skipped. AC-7: sidecar frozen with build-sidecar.ps1 (cryptography hooked by pyinstaller-hooks-contrib); test_frozen_sidecar_spoolease.py against the built exe -> 4 passed. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
#39) Adds docs/interop/SPOOLEASE_PROTOCOL.md (upstream commits inspected, key derivation, cipher, framing, limits), SpoolEase setup and the session-only key behaviour in MATERIAL_PROVIDERS.md, README provider list, and CHANGELOG Added/Changed entries. States that the protocol is verified against source and fixtures and that real SpoolEase device validation is pending. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

…d hardening (#39) Review r2 (Opus deep B-2): Test connection showed only the new "Connected. N spools. M with usable remaining weight." line and dropped the engine's detail for every provider, losing the tracked-vs-declared wording and breaking three installed-build acceptance checks. Both now render, with correct singular/plural. Also: key input autoComplete off, spellcheck off, labelled "SpoolEase security key"; positive test that the typed key reaches providerTest; catch-path error_code is null; the Node fake reads the frozen fixture CSV and asserts its sha256; the acceptance key check scans every localStorage/sessionStorage entry; string and numeric slot ids. Implemented by Codex gpt-5.6-luna (sessions 01a0ea4d, 01a0ea52); committed by the execution session. Verified: npm run test -> 551 passed; npm run build ok; node --check ok. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…l; host-free status (#39) Review r2 (Opus deep B-1, Opus security S-1..S-3): - connect() no longer wraps resolver OSErrors in URLError, so urllib wraps once as stdlib does: Spoolman/Bambuddy keep their pre-#39 text and SpoolEase says "name not found" (A-12 for all three providers). - 6to4, Teredo and NAT64 (well-known and local-use) are never treated as local, in both address predicates; IPv4-mapped judged by the embedded IPv4; redirect to 6to4 refused. - provider_status.error and TLS verification failures carry no host. - pytest pinned (9.1.1) in the release workflows. - Tests: negative/NaN consumption through the reader, A-14b on a real loopback listener, dialled-address recording, TLS negative case with tmp_path certs, genuine cross-host redirect, spoolease in the redirect parametrisations, route-level provider_status, empty_body case. - No private class names in Spoolman/Bambuddy error text. Verified: backend .venv pytest -q -> 2243 passed, 47 skipped; actionlint clean on release.yml and release-linux.yml. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…es (#39) Post-connect reads use the base per-read timeout and are not wall-clock bounded (follow-up #53); transport wording split for timeouts vs other failures; MATERIAL_PROVIDERS names the proxy and dual-stack changes; CHANGELOG notes the tunnel-range tightening. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…#39) Review r3 (Sol BLOCK on 233a5ad, Opus delta notes): - Spoolman and Bambuddy now report invalid_address for off-network addresses and redirects, and provider_status scrubs the configured host from any error as a backstop; the host-free sentence also covers the redirect case and keeps the local-address hint. Route tests for all three providers: public literal, name resolving publicly, off-network redirect (neither host appears). - Only certificate failures say the certificate could not be verified; other TLS errors say a secure connection could not be set up. - A blank CSV record inside a SpoolEase response fails the whole read. - Frozen-sidecar test deadline enforced with a reader thread. - pytest pinned in linux-ci.yml too. Verified: backend .venv pytest -q -> 2259 passed, 47 skipped; actionlint clean on linux-ci, release, release-linux. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…atus scrub (#39) Review r4 (Opus r3 M1/L1/L2, Sol r3 note): - Off-network refusals are a distinct OffNetworkAddress subclass; only those get the host-free "not on your own network" status sentence. Format refusals (path, scheme, credentials, port) keep their own host-free text, as before #39 for Spoolman/Bambuddy. - The status host scrub parses scheme-less addresses and matches the host only as a whole token; a host equal to a provider name (e.g. "spoolman") is not matched inside the provider's own sentences. Verified: 19 new tests fail on 7fe6345 and pass here; backend .venv pytest -q -> 2278 passed, 47 skipped. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

…ing (#39) CodeRabbit notes on #52: - ProviderStatusNote falls back to "<name> did not answer." when the error is empty and never runs two sentences together; tests scoped per render. - Acceptance: SpoolEase phases run after the provider-switch phases so that check still covers Spoolman -> Bambuddy; the SpoolEase fake answers 404 to anything but GET /api/spools. Verified: npm run test -> 554 passed; npm run build ok; node --check ok; run.ps1 parses with 0 errors. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Refs #39. This implements the integration; #39 stays open until someone with a real SpoolEase Console has confirmed it works (see "Real-world validation").
What this adds
SpoolEase is a new read-only material provider under Settings → Materials provider, next to Spoolman, Bambuddy and your own spool notes. Studio reads the spool inventory from a SpoolEase Console on your local network and normalises it into the same
materials/2data the other providers use. Material planning and send checks stay provider-agnostic.GET /api/spoolsto the Console. It never writes to SpoolEase and never touches its storage.Security key
library.db, settings, localStorage, URLs, logs, diagnostics or error text. Tests pin each of these, and the diagnostics bundle is checked end to end.Protocol (verified against upstream source and fixtures)
Inspected at SpoolEase

Weight honesty
SpoolEase weights are labelled derived, never tracked. SpoolEase only sees consumption from Bambu printers, not what a U1 has used since the spool was weighed, so each spool carries a note saying so. A SpoolEase figure never blocks a send. Any "enough filament" result from an undated figure now says that nothing records when the figure was last updated. This now applies to every provider, which the CHANGELOG notes.
Network behaviour (all providers)
The provider transport is now shared by all three providers:
validate_provider_url()and_LocalOnlyRedirectsare reused. Error text shown in the send-card status never contains your provider's host. The behaviour changes for existing Spoolman and Bambuddy setups are listed in the CHANGELOG anddocs/MATERIAL_PROVIDERS.md.Verification

PROTOCOL VERIFIED against upstream source and byte-exact fixtures.
REAL SPOOLEASE USER VALIDATION PENDING. No physical SpoolEase Console has been tested yet. @ezaton, would you be able to try this against your Console once it is in a build?
