GDRETools crashes every time I open it, either instantaneously or after a short while

Issue description

This issue happens with multiple releases. I've tried the latest and some 2.6.xs. It crashes either after opening or when I try to add a project.

Steps to reproduce

I'm not sure if this will be the case on every system but it happens when I just open the application.
