What backend will this be migrated to and what will the deployment look like

For now, we are removing Express.js, Payload CMS, and MongoDB. Instead, we will use Next.js for both the backend and frontend, since it is a full-stack framework. We have also decided to migrate to the latest version of Next.js.
We will be using Better Auth for authentication, as Pranav and I were discussing some ideas that would require it. With Better Auth, we won't need a CMS, since we can easily build our own dashboard and other necessary features. For now, blog posts will be stored as
.mdfiles, but we have future plans for that as well.We are also considering migrating our database to either NeonDB or Convex, depending on our needs. Since both offer structured data storage, we believe migration will be easier. Our main goal is to maintain flexibility so that we can switch databases in the future if our requirements change.

Looks good. If you ever need a CMS, consider using Sveltia as it uses Git as the backend. You will not have to worry about a database and at the same time can enjoy all the benefits a CMS provides. I like that you guys are moving away from Payload as they have essentially closed off support for anything non NextJS.
