Make scrolling down reveal later items in browser menus #29

Closed as not planned

Description

@relh

I want scrolling down to reveal items farther down a browser game menu, so I can read long quest and settings lists.

The reversed direction was reproduced in Windy's non-Mac browser path. Its Mac browser path already scrolls correctly. The fix should preserve native scrolling and the OS scroll preference.

PR #9 uses the browser event fix from Windy #194. The non-Mac path was checked by changing the platform reported to a local Chrome test; real Windows and Linux browser input remains unverified.

    We think we already fixed this and Windy matches the OS scroll

    The earlier wording was too broad. I compared the same menu against current upstream Windy and the pinned fix: the Mac browser path already scrolls correctly. In the non-Mac browser path, scrolling down leaves the list at its beginning with upstream and reveals later items with the fix.

    The local comparison used Chrome on macOS with the browser platform string changed to exercise that path; it is not a native Windows or Linux test. The earlier Linux browser check also passed with the pin. I rewrote this issue to identify the browser path and leave native scrolling and OS preferences alone.

    Consolidating into #26 to keep the issue list focused. This is a specific non-Mac browser dependency fix, not a general native scrolling problem. The existing comments and test limitation are preserved.

    The useful requirements are now in that issue. Closing this separate tracker does not mark the implementation complete.
