Summary

Release AzLocal.UpdateManagement v0.9.31 with fleet-scale authentication, performance, and reporting hardening.

  • renew expired GitHub OIDC-backed Azure CLI authentication inside long-running ARM and Resource Graph operations
  • query explicit fleets above 200 cluster IDs through bounded represented-subscription batches with exact client-side resource-ID filtering
  • keep Monitor: 3 and Update: 4 reporting paths read-only by skipping sideload-tag reset checks
  • detect incomplete Monitor: 3 supplementary datasets, preserve available reports, and fail only after evidence is written
  • clarify that AZURE_SUBSCRIPTION_ID selects the default Azure CLI context and does not define fleet scope
  • update the public README, CHANGELOG, release history, shipped pipeline guides, and all 20 generated workflow pins

Validation

  • complete non-live Pester suite: 1,819 passed, 0 failed, 1 skipped
  • focused release/version/documentation guards: 43 passed, 0 failed
  • PowerShell and YAML diagnostics: clean
  • git diff --check: clean
  • manifest ReleaseNotes: 9,113 characters, within PSGallery limit
  • privacy scan: no customer identifiers, GUID subscription IDs, JWT values, or known customer terms in added lines

Add OIDC authentication repair for long-running GitHub workflows, scale explicit fleet ARG reads through bounded subscription batches with exact filtering, keep monitoring paths read-only, and fail late on incomplete Monitor: 3 supplementary data while preserving artifacts. Update public release notes, shipped pipeline documentation, tests, and all generated workflow pins.
Preserve one represented subscription as an array so large fleets contained in a single subscription pass the complete GUID to Azure Resource Graph. Add regression coverage and record the successful release-suite runs.
Clarify that management groups and grouped tags govern discovery, represented-subscription batching occurs after admission, explicit subscription scope overrides derived scope, and direct child cmdlets trust supplied resource IDs.
