Control Center and Module Explorer

The Control Center is AXIOM's locally served browser interface for current inspection, diagnostics, and planning tools. Start it with:

axiom gui

Use axiom gui --no-open to print the URL without automatically opening a browser.

Module Explorer

The beta.4 Module Explorer provides a searchable index of:

  • existing GUI pages that can be opened directly;
  • command families that are available through the CLI;
  • API surfaces represented by the live OpenAPI reference.

The UI should distinguish a GUI destination from a CLI-only capability. It does not execute arbitrary shell commands on behalf of a browser user and does not turn planned roadmap items into shipped features.

Main areas

Area Purpose Important limitation
Workspace overview Read a summary of project configuration and detected environment information. Discovery depends on the current workspace and what the process can access.
Models Inspect local model files and available metadata. Metadata discovery is not proof that the model loads or produces correct inference.
Datasets Validate and profile supported dataset structures. Structural checks do not guarantee semantic quality, consent, or compliance.
Optimizer / Quantization Lab Compare estimates and draft hardware-aware plans. Numbers are estimates, not measured performance benchmarks.
Diagnostics Surface structured workspace health checks. Checks are read-only; they do not automatically repair problems.
Roadmap Read the recorded roadmap state and report integrity findings. The UI does not infer completion from file existence or rewrite statuses automatically.
API Playground Run bounded requests to a predefined read-only endpoint allowlist. It is not an arbitrary HTTP client and does not offer mutating methods.
Workflow design Manage templates, revisions, duplication, validation, and dry-run estimates. A design or dry run is not a running training/inference pipeline.

The precise pages available in a build are the ones present in that build. Use the Module Explorer as an index, not as a promise that every roadmap item is implemented.

Remembered administrator session

Beta.4 includes improvements to remembered administrator-session behavior. Treat remembered sessions as a usability feature, not a substitute for protecting access to the local machine, operating-system account, browser profile, or workspace.

Troubleshooting the GUI

  1. Check axiom version and confirm the expected environment is active.
  2. Run axiom doctor --json and review failed checks.
  3. Restart the GUI from the same project/workspace with axiom gui.
  4. If the page reports an API error, record the request/correlation identifier and redact private path or environment details before reporting it.
  5. If you create a support bundle, inspect it before attaching it to an issue.
