Kyochul — AI that lives in the real world.

Website · CV · Scholar · LinkedIn · Email

I'm a PhD researcher in Artificial Intelligence at Seoul National University, working with Prof. Youngjae Yu at SNU PI Lab. I received my BS in Computer Science from Purdue University in 2023.

My research focuses on Physical Agentic AI and Action Generation. I want to build physical agents that work reliably in everyday life, combining models that deeply understand actions with systems that use them effectively.

My work spans humanoid tool use, mobile GUI agents, and LLM tool calling:

  • HumanoidToolBench · First author · Benchmarking humanoid tool use from selection to mobile execution (2026 preprint).
  • DICE-BENCH · First author · Evaluating tool use in multi-round, multi-party dialogues (ACL 2025 Findings).
  • Mobile GUI Agents · SKT AI Fellowship · On-device Android agents that navigate apps to find restaurants and make reservations.

I've lived in Korea, China, and the US, and speak Korean, English, and Chinese. I also teach at SNU and enjoy turning research ideas into usable systems.

Research notes and thoughts live in Action Space. For collaborations, reach me at kyochul@snu.ac.kr.
