Summary
Prepare browser installation and recovery for Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.85C-BOX V2 alongside AtomS3R C126 + Pyramid A167. Compatible OpenAthan reports its hardware over USB; unrecognized firmware requires explicit model selection and erase confirmation. Changing the model clears confirmation, and flash chip/capacity/security checks run before writing.
Stable release discovery, import, signature validation, deployment metadata and freshness checks select both board manifests from the same source/tag. Legacy Atom-only releases remain compatible. Waveshare uses prefixed firmware assets and the same approved shared audio. The website still consumes firmware artifacts without compiling them.
Companion firmware: openathan PR #40. Deploy website support before publishing Waveshare firmware.
Update
/install/,/docs/getting-started/and development previews with board-specific setup and power instructions. RTC support remains included; battery/unplugged retention and drift remain unqualified. Public USB application writes remain disabled. No catalog pin, release publication or deployment is performed by this PR.Area
Validation
Automated: formatting, TypeScript/Astro checks and 180 unit tests pass. Verified production static output uses published v0.4.0 and excludes the simulator. Development browsers: 363 passed, 3 existing skips; built-site browsers: 171 passed across Chromium, WebKit and mobile. Desktop and narrow-screen installer inspection passed; UI detector reported no findings. The actual signed local two-board v0.5.0 candidate also passed offline adoption/import/static checks and all 171 built-site browser cases in an isolated clone; no release was published.
Exact-head website CI passes; deployment is intentionally skipped for the draft PR.
Physical: no hardware access or flashing. Waveshare production fresh installation, signed OTA, preserving USB update transport and interruption/recovery qualification remain pending; earlier development results do not establish acceptance of this production release.
