Summary

• Part of Performance: compile-time targets and gate — hello-world ≤ 3 s warm, MiniWebApp ≤ 10 s, 400 statements per function in < 5 s, one-file edit rebuild < 25 % of full, spine gen-0 < 30 min with split-TU (script/bench-gate.php --compile, bin/compile.php, lib/Compiler.php) (re-#36224 slice 2, re-#36199) #36387 (lane A; overflow: CI: php-llvm-structgep-assert.patch fails to apply — blocks north-star5-verify-fast and all bootstrap gates #36143–VM: 1M-iteration loops exit 255 silently — restore compute-suite headroom on bin/vm.php #36148 / RunForge north star (Sep 2026): trust, build speed, performance — automation tracker #36142 closed; InitArray extract already merged as Split-TU: extract InitArraySpreadArithmeticAndNestedInlineCallArgResolvers (#36387) #37063). Move-only Concern extract of getOpCodeTypeFromBinaryOp / Cast / Unary, compileIncDecExpr, and compileExpr (~960 lines) from ErrorSuppressAndPropertyFetch into CompileExprAndOpcodeTypes.

• php-src: Zend/zend_compile.c expression compile — no new C ABI. LintCompiler::compileExpr override unchanged.

• make north-star5-verify-fast → OK (spine 8350/8350)
• php script/check-selfhost-spine-sidecar-sync.php / check-size-budgets → OK
• Not run: script/differential-sweep.sh --aot --repeat 3 (move-only; opcode corpus unchanged)
