🧹 refactor: avoid cloning DslBlockValue in web module render_children - #146
Conversation
Extracted logic from dsl_to_html matching on RuntimeValue::DslBlock into a new function, dsl_block_to_html, which operates directly on a reference to DslBlockValue. Updated render_children to use this helper, eliminating the unnecessary clone and wrapper allocation during loop iterations. 🎯 What: Extracted the DSL-to-HTML block rendering logic into a new helper function
dsl_block_to_htmlthat takes a reference toDslBlockValue, and refactoredrender_childrento use it instead of unnecessarily cloning the block and wrapping it inRuntimeValue::DslBlock.💡 Why: This improves both readability and maintainability by keeping the rendering functions cleaner, while also addressing a minor performance inefficiency where entire block tree structures were needlessly cloned during rendering just to satisfy the wrapper's type requirement.
✅ Verification: Verified by running
cargo test --workspaceto ensure that all standard library tests, particularlytest_dsl_semantic_full_web_pageand HTML generation logic, pass successfully.✨ Result: A more concise and efficient
render_childrenfunction that correctly passes references downstream without artificial allocations.PR created automatically by Jules for task 16402512525937100324 started by @Tcode-Motion
