Summary

  • node.js.yml build job: plain npm ci && npm test, no git history usage — add explicit fetch-depth: 1.
  • push-to-main-sentinel.yml hub checkout step: reads current-ref script/config files only, no git history usage — add explicit fetch-depth: 1.
  • Left untouched: gitleaks.yml checkout and the caller-repo checkout in push-to-main-sentinel.yml, both already explicit fetch-depth: 0 and both diff against a commit range (before..after / base..head), so they genuinely need full history.

Test plan

  • gh pr checks green on this PR (CI itself exercises the changed workflow)

node.js.yml build job and the hub-checkout step in push-to-main-sentinel.yml
only build/test or read current-ref files — neither uses git log/blame or a
wide commit-range comparison. Pin fetch-depth: 1 explicitly instead of
relying on actions/checkout's default. The other two checkouts (gitleaks.yml,
and the caller-repo checkout in push-to-main-sentinel.yml) keep fetch-depth: 0
because they diff against a commit range.
