Energy registration types, enum-typed fields and name corrections (BREAKING) - #77
This PR adds the energy_device enums MarketType, RegistrationFailure, SiteRegistrationStatus and BranchCircuitDeviceType; the enum values TEGDeviceType 11 TULIP, 12 DYNAMO and 13 SMC_SUPERCHARGER, IPMDeviceType 3 MEGACHARGER and RegistrationDeviceType 7 OPTIMUS_CHARGER; the fields RegistrationRequest.market_type (12), RegistrationRequest.potential_site_uuid (13) and DeviceDetail.teg_device_type (4); the messages DeviceInfo, AssetSiteDetailsRequest, AssetSiteUuidOfDeviceRequest, CustomerRegistrationInfo, DeactivateDeviceResponse, SiteInfo, RegistrationRequestWithPartDetails and WCCommercialRegistrationRequestWithPartDetails; and the command enum Signatures.SessionInfoFlags, which names the bit positions in SessionInfo.flags. It also makes these breaking changes, all with the same tags and wire bytes: nine int32 fields get enum types, so generated code uses the enums and JSON shows enum names instead of numbers (CommonAPIRegisterResponse.failure and RegistrationAPIRegisterResponse.failure → RegistrationFailure, CommercialChargingDeviceProperties.power_type → PowerType and connector_type → ConnectorType, SystemUpdate.handshake_result → UpdateHandshakeResult, update_status → UpdateStatus and last_update_result → LastUpdateResult, CommonAPIConfigureWifiWithEncryptedPasswordResponse.result → WifiConfigureResult, CommonAPIGetCellularInfoResponse.supported_profiles → repeated CellularProfileType); PartnerInfo.site_relationship_type becomes repeated; and these names change: Errors.NominalError 8 keyNotFoundContext → keyNotFound in oneof context, Errors.KeyNotFoundContext 1 public_key → publicKey and 2 handle → slot in oneof key, VCSEC.VehicleStatus 6 uiDesire → UIDesire, enum iPMDeviceType → IPMDeviceType, EncryptedMessage.cipher_text → ciphertext, GridComplianceStatus.qualifiying_time_remaining_s → qualifying_time_remaining_s, and WifiNetwork.rssiValue → rssi_value and securityType → security_type (the last two keep their JSON names). The "may be an enum" comments on main_service_size, nominal_voltage and max_output are deleted, the published 5.0.0 buf.yamlignore_only block is replaced by one for this release, the generated TypeScript and Python code and the catalog are regenerated, the catalog baseline totals are updated, and a major changeset lists every breaking change.

Walkthrough
The protocol schemas and generated Python and TypeScript bindings add command session flags and energy-device registration types, messages, and fields. The changes also type several integer fields with enums, update field cardinality and oneofs, correct field names, and refresh catalog counts.

Session flag contract and bindings proto/command/signatures.proto, packages/typescript/src/command/signatures.ts, packages/python/tesla_protocol/command/signatures_pb2.py, packages/python/tesla_protocol/command/signatures_pb2.pyi, catalog/catalog.json
Adds SessionInfoFlags with the detached-encryption support value. The existing SessionInfo.flags field remains a uint32 and is described as a bitmask.
Command field and oneof updates proto/command/errors.proto, proto/command/vcsec.proto, packages/typescript/src/command/errors.ts, packages/typescript/src/command/vcsec.ts, packages/python/tesla_protocol/command/*, catalog/catalog.json
Renames command fields and adds oneof declarations for key-error context fields. Python and TypeScript bindings use the updated names. VehicleStatus.uiDesire becomes UIDesire.
Energy-device protocol updates
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Energy-device types and names proto/energy_device/device.proto, packages/typescript/src/energy_device/device.ts, packages/python/tesla_protocol/energy_device/device_pb2.*, catalog/catalog.json
Adds TEG and branch-circuit device-type values, renames iPMDeviceType to IPMDeviceType, and renames EncryptedMessage.cipher_text to ciphertext.
Registration API schema and codecs proto/energy_device/registration_api.proto, packages/typescript/src/energy_device/registration_api.ts, packages/python/tesla_protocol/energy_device/registration_api_pb2.*, catalog/catalog.json, catalog/SUMMARY.md, scripts/test_build_catalog.py, buf.yaml, .changeset/energy-registration-enum-typing-and-name-corrections.md
Adds registration enums, messages, and fields, including market and potential-site fields, device details, and part-detail wrappers. Commercial charging fields use Neurio enums, and partner site relationships become repeated. Catalog totals and expected totals are updated; the changeset and temporary breaking-change exemptions are revised.
Energy enum typing and field-name corrections proto/energy_device/common_api.proto, proto/energy_device/update.proto, proto/energy_device/energy.proto, proto/energy_device/networking.proto, packages/typescript/src/energy_device/common_api.ts, packages/typescript/src/energy_device/update.ts, packages/typescript/src/energy_device/energy.ts, packages/python/tesla_protocol/energy_device/*, catalog/catalog.json
Common API and system-update fields use enum types instead of integers. Energy and networking field names are corrected in the schemas and generated bindings.
Key-error payloads containing both fields may lose information or change meaning across bindings. The unconfirmed status of new protocol declarations is also not consistently visible. Resolve the codec behavior and confirm compatibility expectations before release.

Explanation
Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 16 functions across 27 files. (12 skipped: 12 unsupported.)
Resolution

on the SessionInfoFlags declaration into its leading comments, matching the

- Line 152: Update the decoder for the `key` oneof so decoding either member
clears the other, ensuring the last member encountered wins. Update the encoder
to emit at most one `key` member when both fields are set.
Review comments at @proto/command/errors.proto:
- Line 29: Update the `key` field declarations in the `oneof key` block so older
payloads containing both fields retain both values when decoded and
reserialized. Keep the fields independent, or provide a migration that preserves
both values.
Review comments at @proto/energy_device/registration_api.proto:
- Line 93: Mark the newly added schema declarations in the registration API and
device protocol as unconfirmed, including the MarketType enum and each added
enum or message, using the repository’s required UNCONFIRMED annotation. Leave
confirmed declarations unchanged.
