Summary

Refines the public information architecture around durable visitor goals rather than exposing every content type as a global peer.

Global navigation becomes:

  • Start Here
  • The Way
  • Textbook
  • Research
  • Projects
  • About
  • Search

Former global items remain available as subordinate section routes:

  • Narratives, Articles, Related Works under The Way;
  • SITREP, Artifacts, Organization map under Projects;
  • Research Method under Research;
  • Erin Spencer, About the site, By the builder, Accessibility under About.

Research repair

Adds a real /research/ evidence index backed by the existing research_data adapter:

  • current bounded findings;
  • admitted studies;
  • Article-level evidence gaps;
  • link to the review/admission method.

/research/method/ remains public and governing, but no longer impersonates the Research destination.

Newcomer orientation

/home/ is rewritten as Start Here, organized by visitor intent:

  • read the source;
  • understand the technical architecture;
  • inspect evidence;
  • see what is being built;
  • understand who and what the site is.

Mobile + accessibility

  • Same seven global choices on desktop and mobile.
  • Mobile menu shows one-line descriptions under each global label.
  • Global parent sections use aria-current="location" on subordinate pages.
  • Local section navigation exposes branches without depending on JavaScript.
  • Static SDK22 fallback remains intact.

Builder-journal compliance

Required append-only entry:

  • date: 2026-09-24
  • time: 18:39:58-07:00
  • model: GPT-5.6 Sol

No prior builder record was changed.

Validation

Tests cover:

  • seven-item global menu;
  • removal of content-type peers from global navigation;
  • subordinate section navigation;
  • central Research evidence page;
  • actual admitted research remaining study-only;
  • generated current-section state;
  • updated builder-journal record.

The repository's full PR gate remains authoritative before merge.
