Visor addon template (Fabric + Forge)

It is a Visor addon template to start from. The shared code is in mod-core, each loader project (mod-fabric, mod-forge) compiles it into its own jar.

Start Option I: From this template

  1. Change the values in Mod block of gradle.properties
  2. Rename the your.mod.template package everywhere. Don't forget to update the entrypoint in mod-fabric/src/main/resources/fabric.mod.json and the package in mod.mixins.json
  3. Apply Minecraft version you need: gradlew useMinecraft-1.21.1 (All available versions: gradlew tasks --group minecraft)
  4. Loaders to build: enabled_platforms in gradle.properties

Run with gradlew :mod-fabric:runClient or gradlew :mod-forge:runClient.

Once you finished with that you can remove no longer needed stuff:

  • Delete the versions folder
  • Delete gradle/minecraft.gradle
  • Open build.gradle and remove this block: apply from: "gradle/minecraft.gradle"
  • Open settings.gradle and keep only the include lines of the if block at the end
  • Delete or rewrite README.md

Start Option II: Add Visor to your own project

  1. Copy these to your project dependencies: versions/<your Minecraft version>.properties
  2. Copy from build.gradle the Modrinth repository and visor dependencies (and the API one from mod-core/build.gradle for shared code), from fabric.mod.json and META-INF/mods.toml the visor dependency
  3. Register the addon in each loader's entrypoint, as both TemplateMod classes do
