Restore Home Assistant 2025.9 compatibility.

Reopens issue #1033.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Compatibility

    • The minimum supported Home Assistant version is now 2025.9.0.
  • Bug Fixes

    • Meter and battery diagnostics now redact the via_device field to help protect device information.
    • Inverter, meter, battery, and MMPPT devices now use consistent parent-device relationships in Home Assistant.

Use device identifiers for parent-device relationships, remove inverter registration, and redact parent identifiers in diagnostics.

Walkthrough

The integration now links inverter child devices through inverter identifiers instead of registry IDs. The changes also update meter and battery diagnostic redaction, adjust device-registry tests, and revise the declared Home Assistant and test environment versions.

Changes: Device Relationships and Compatibility

Layer / File(s) Summary
Use identifiers for device relationships
custom_components/solaredge_modbus_multi/hub.py
Inverter registration and registry-ID lookups are removed. Meter, battery, and MMPPT parent relationships use the inverter identifier.
Update redaction and device tests
custom_components/solaredge_modbus_multi/diagnostics.py, tests/test_der_storage.py, tests/test_hub_inverter_registration.py
Meter and battery diagnostics redact via_device. Device lookup assertions use identifier sets, and the inverter registration failure test is removed.
Update compatibility declarations
README.md, hacs.json, .github/workflows/tests.yml, requirements-test.txt
The minimum Home Assistant version changes to 2025.9.0. The workflow uses Python 3.13, and the minimum test dependency version is lowered.

The compatibility claim lacks guaranteed coverage on Home Assistant 2025.9.0. A minimum-version test is a useful follow-up.

Add a test job for Home Assistant 2025.9.0.

The current pytest job installs an unpinned pytest-homeassistant-custom-component range, so its resolved Home Assistant version is not fixed to the declared 2025.9.0 minimum. Add a job pinned to the plugin release for Home Assistant 2025.9.0. This adds compatibility coverage; it does not indicate a current production failure.

Add a separate pytest job pinned to the pytest-homeassistant-custom-component
release for Home Assistant 2025.9.0, while preserving the existing job that
installs the unpinned range.
