What

  • New /methods page (linked from the footer, README and sitemap): the choice model and how parameters are coded, the D-error with Dz/Dp notation, why D-efficiency is not the whole story (Walker, Wang, Thorhauge & Ben-Akiva, 2018), how each generator works, the checks, fielding, limitations, a reporting note and references.
  • "D-efficient" in the UI in place of "D-optimal". The internal value 'd-optimal' is unchanged, so saved studies and project files still load.
  • Copy that overstated the method, now fixed:
    • Priors note: a D-efficient design is only as good as its priors and can do worse than a random design when they are wrong; use non-zero priors only when confident.
    • D-error tile: says Dz-error (all priors zero) or Dp-error (fixed priors), and that values only compare for the same model and priors.
    • Blocks hint: choice tasks are dealt to blocks in turn and are not optimised.
    • Methods paragraph: the pivot sentence no longer claims per-respondent reference values, and the D-error sentence uses Dz/Dp.
    • Balanced-search weights note states the actual trade-off.
    • Landing page, Open Graph image and site description no longer present efficiency as the only goal.
  • README: generator description, known limitations, references, stack (Next 16 / React 19), deploy (fra1, NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL) and project structure brought up to date.

Checks

  • npm test: 1045 passed. New tests cover the Dz/Dp wording.
  • npm run build and tsc --noEmit pass.
  • In the browser: section anchors and deep links work, no sideways scroll at 375 px, and changing priors recomputes the D-error tile in Dp wording.

…ADME

- New /methods page: choice model and parameter coding, the D-error
(Dz/Dp notation), the role of priors following Walker et al. (2018),
the generators, the checks, fielding, limitations and references.
- The UI calls the search "D-efficient" (the internal value stays
'd-optimal'); the D-error tile names Dz- or Dp-error.
- Copy that overstated the method is corrected: the priors note warns
that a D-efficient design is only as good as its priors, the blocks
hint says choice tasks are dealt in turn (not optimised), the pivot
sentence in the methods paragraph no longer claims per-respondent
reference values, and the weights note states the actual trade-off.
- README: Methods link, generator description, known limitations,
references, stack, deploy and project structure brought up to date.
