Full-stack engineer — TypeScript on Node, React on the front. Based in Ísafjörður, in the Icelandic Westfjords.
I build and maintain web applications end to end: typed APIs on Node, React interfaces that hold up outside the happy path, and the unglamorous layer in between where most of the bugs actually live.
I like strict boundaries, loose coupling, and types derived from reality rather than wishful thinking. Validate at the edges, generate types from schemas, test what the software does rather than how it happens to be built.
The work I enjoy most is inheriting a system that has grown tangled and leaving it easier to change than I found it.
