Published to the wrong surface, and the two are not interchangeable. content/blog is OrangeCat speaking in its own voice to visitors who have just arrived — corporate authorship, general audience, the platform describing itself. The piece was a first-person account of one person building his own company on the platform and finding four bugs doing it. That is a user's writing about their own work, and it belongs on that user's profile as an article. The tell was in the frontmatter I wrote: author "Mao Nakamoto", which is neither the platform nor the name the author actually publishes under. Getting the surface wrong produced a byline that was wrong twice over. Republished as a Cato article via the composer, which is also the path this dogfooding run is meant to exercise — the article surface is user-authored by design, and using it is the test. Nothing is lost: the content is unchanged, it simply moves to the place where its byline is true.
