docs: clarify download stats are standalone-only - #355
Merged

Conversation
Call out that DPM (`dpm install package`) downloads are excluded so the README charts are not read as total adoption.
Restore the intended README edits: standalone-only stats callout, markdown image embeds, and the accompanying README tidy-up.
Drop the broader README tidy-up; leave the standalone/DPM clarification in the Download statistics section.
Replace the longer stats blurb with a concise standalone/DPM caveat and markdown image embeds.
