General First Steps after Rebase/Install

A set of (possibly) useful commands, scripts, or other info related to administration of Celestial Uprising's Operating System:

Tailscale

• Enable the tailscale daemon:

sudo systemctl enable --now tailscaled

• Login to your account:

sudo tailscale login

• Configure the machine's tailscale settings:

# Replace HOSTID/TAILSCALE_IP and ADMIN_USERNAME with your actual details
sudo tailscale set --exit-node="HOSTID_or_TAILSCALE_IP" --exit-node-allow-lan-access --accept-routes --accept-dns --ssh --operator="ADMIN_USERNAME"

• Set tailscale0 network to trusted within firewall

sudo firewall-cmd --zone=trusted --add-interface=tailscale0 --permanent

• Configure firewall to allow local tailscale connections (rather than going to the exit-node and back; when on same LAN)

sudo firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=41641/udp --permanent
