A malformed (present but wrong-typed) value in a selected Pipeline, Task, Buildah task or prefetch task could cause a Conforma check to produce no result, so a malformed input looked like a pass. Harden the affected rules so a malformed value produces a named deny instead of being silently ignored. - G03 buildah_build_task: new malformed_parameter rule denies a present non-string DOCKERFILE/ADD_CAPABILITIES/PLATFORM/PRIVILEGED_NESTED; the existing string-only checks keep their behavior for string values. - G04 prefetch_dependencies: mode_not_permissive also fires for a present wrong-typed mode; absent mode stays a no-op; proxy check unchanged. - G12 build_labels: build_type_label_set fires for a defined non-object metadata.labels instead of both label checks disappearing. - G13 basic: expected_kind now rejects a missing kind on a pipeline definition (previously only a present wrong kind was rejected). - G14 tasks: confirmed with the real engine that the pipeline-required-tasks JSON-schema validation already rejects a malformed .tasks entry (null/scalar/object/missing) with tasks.data_provided; added regressions. - G15 results: a required Task result is only satisfied by an array spec.results, so a wrong-container object with a matching name no longer masks a missing result. - G16 trusted_artifacts: new workspaces_format rule denies a present non-array spec.workspaces; the disallowed-workspace check is array-guarded. refs: EC-2235 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Signed-off-by: cuipinghuo <chuo@redhat.com>

Align the malformed-parameter effective date with its intended enforcement date.
metadata.result_helper emits 2026-12-09T00:00:00Z. Future effective_on dates are time-gated as warnings rather than failures, so this rule does not produce a denial before that date. The test expects 2024-09-01T00:00:00Z, but assertions.assert_equal_results ignores effective_on, so the mismatch is not detected. Set the rule date or the test expectation to the intended contract, and assert effective_on directly.

What:
Harden seven policy rules so that a present but wrong-typed value in a selected Pipeline, Task, Buildah task or prefetch task produces a named deny instead of being silently ignored (which made malformed input look like a pass). Each group from the EC-2110 audit is addressed as an independent fix with asserted-result-code regressions:
release/buildah_build_taskmalformed_parameterrule denies a present non-stringDOCKERFILE/ADD_CAPABILITIES/PLATFORM/PRIVILEGED_NESTED. The string-only checks keep their existing behavior for string values. Tested on both v0.2 param maps and v1 param arrays.release/prefetch_dependenciesmode_not_permissivenow also fires for a present wrong-typedmode(e.g.["permissive"]). Absent mode stays a no-op; the independent proxy check is unchanged.build_task/build_labelsbuild_type_label_setfires for a defined non-objectmetadata.labels(null/list/string/number) instead of both label checks disappearing. Missing-labels path unchanged.pipeline/basicexpected_kindnow rejects a missingkind(previously only a present wrong kind was caught — resolves the old# Fixme).release/taskspipeline-required-tasksJSON-schema validation already rejects a malformed.tasksentry (null/scalar/object/missing) viatasks.data_provided— the audit's fallback evaluator reported a false gap. Added regressions to lock this in. No rule change.task/resultsspec.results, so a wrong-container object carrying a matchingnamecan no longer mask a missing required result.task/trusted_artifactsworkspaces_formatrule denies a present non-arrayspec.workspaces; the disallowed-workspace check is array-guarded. Task activation unchanged.New
denyrules carryeffective_ondates matching the sibling control they reinforce, so these bypass closures enforce immediately. Why:
EC-2110 confirmed seven cases where a malformed value caused a check to produce no result: required fields disappear, wrong-typed containers are treated as empty/valid, and non-string parameters bypass checks. A successful evaluation with no relevant violation then looks like a pass.
