"What is Softserve?"

Softserve is a modpack put together with the sole purpose of fixing, 
improving, and overhauling many of the features of vanilla Minecraft 
that I and many others have seen as problematic or lacking.

"What makes this different from other Vanilla+ modpacks?"

Instead of piling on content mods like most "kitchen sink" modpacks, 
Softserve aims to be more deliberate with each piece of added content, 
making sure to target parts of the game that actually need attention.

"Why VulkanMod instead of Sodium?"

There's a variety of reasons:

OpenGL is an old and discontinued rendering pipeline
Mojang themselves are switching to Vulkan for future game updates
Raw FPS gains are significantly higher on Vulkan vs Sodium

I also personally prefer it as I have an AMD GPU, 
which runs Vulkan much better.

"This still feels like a "Kitchen Sink" modpack."

This modpack is still in active development, 
and I am all ears on any feedback provided.

The most helpful kind of feedback to me 
would be detailed and include suggested solutions.
