Software developer for 22 years, was CTO for 10 years.
My previous career is split between corpo work under NDA, projects that I prefer not to acknowledge, and some interesting experiences.
Nowadays, I am focused on libre, self-hosted, federated, privacy-oriented, and resilient tech.
I care about keeping "we, the people" in the fight against all kinds of oppressive structures.
If we manage to keep the planet habitable in the process, that would be nice too.
I lived in sad places and spent years on the road, so I always try to build for the dark times: when networks are down, power is intermittent, hardware is sparse, and someone actively wants to harm you.
Open for work with people and organizations whose mission I can get behind and who need my particular vision. I don't know much about AWS or Vercel, nor do I want to. But I can build a system that will work when the roof is flooded and the foundation is on fire.
P.S. I do less dramatic shit too.
