👋 Hi, I'm David — engineer and Navy veteran working toward marine autonomy and simulation engineering.
⚓️ I spent four years as a Navy engineering officer (Repair Officer, Auxiliaries Officer, Assistant Chief Engineer), then moved into subsea cable engineering, currently installing subsea fiber-optic cable at SubCom.
🛠️ Rebuilding hands-on software skills through applied projects — currently building a simplified cable-lay dynamics simulator (C++ core, Python visualization) as a way to combine my marine engineering background with systems/autonomy work.
