译读（ImmerRead）是一款本地安装的 Chrome Side Panel 扩展，为各类英文文章（技术博客、新闻报道、深度长文、Substack newsletter 等）提供沉浸式的整篇中文阅读体验。它在右侧渐进翻译全文，提供章节导读、划词翻译与解释、自定义术语库，并把密钥和缓存保存在你自己的浏览器中。
已验证（2026-09-17）： npm test 34/34 通过，npm run check 通过。项目使用原生 HTML、CSS 和 JavaScript，无构建步骤。
译读是一款英文文章翻译插件。市面上的翻译产品大多把译文和原文混在一起，视线在两种语言之间来回跳跃，既读不痛快中文，也读不完整英文。译读让两种语言各自完整——你可以从头到尾沉浸式地读中文译文，也可以随时回到原文逐句精读英文，互不打扰。
流畅的译文来自大语言模型：译读使用 LLM 逐段翻译，并支持你建立自己的术语库，把认可的译法固定下来、跨文章复用，越用越顺手。
翻译之外，译读还提供依托 LLM 的助学功能：章节导读帮你先把握全文脉络，划线解释让你随手指向看不懂的英文，获得结合语境的讲解。
翻译是渐进式的——优先翻译你正在阅读的部分，不必等待整篇完成；译文与导读都会缓存在本地，重读同一篇文章不再消耗 token。

这是一个本地加载的扩展，不会自动更新。拉取新版本后，请在 chrome://extensions 中点击译读卡片上的“重新加载”，并刷新已打开的文章页面。移动或删除项目文件夹后，需要从新位置重新加载扩展。
默认配置为：

译读也允许填写任何 OpenAI 兼容的 API Base 和模型名，你可以自由选择翻译质量与成本适合自己的模型。使用自定义服务时，文章内容会被发送到你配置的服务地址，请先确认该服务的隐私政策、数据保留方式和计费规则。
API Key、模型和接口地址保存在 Chrome 本地扩展存储中。Chrome 扩展存储不是加密密码保险箱；建议使用独立 Key、设置消费限额，并在设备或浏览器配置泄露后立即轮换或撤销 Key。
- 打开包含英文正文的普通网页。
- 点击译读图标，Chrome 会在右侧打开侧栏。
- 在“中文翻译”中沉浸式阅读随原文滚动的译文。
- 打开“导读”，查看按原文章节组织的中文概述。
- 在原网页选中英文，使用“翻译 / 解释 / 固定译法”。
- 在“固定译法”页签中添加、编辑或删除自己的术语。
译读没有账号系统、开发者运营的后端、广告、分析统计或行为追踪。请求从扩展直接发往 DeepSeek 或你自行配置的兼容服务。

- 支持 Google Chrome 114 或更高版本；其他 Chromium 浏览器未验证。
- 适合有清晰正文结构的公开英文文章页面。
- 不做 OCR，不翻译图片、视频、Canvas 或交互组件内部内容。
- 复杂多列布局、轮播和无法安全线性化的模块不会拆进右侧译文。
- 右侧译文使用纯文本，不复制原文链接、粗体、下划线或行内代码样式。
- 翻译和导读会消耗你自己的模型额度；译读不赠送额度，也不代收费用。
- 当前通过 GitHub 本地安装，尚未发布到 Chrome Web Store。

ImmerRead (译读) is a locally installed Chrome Side Panel extension for reading English articles — tech blogs, news, long-form essays, newsletters — immersively in Chinese, without replacing the source page.
ImmerRead is a translation extension for English articles. Most translation tools mix the two languages on screen and send your eyes jumping back and forth. ImmerRead keeps each language whole — read the Chinese translation end-to-end, or switch back to the original English at any paragraph; neither interrupts the other.
The fluent Chinese comes from an LLM translating paragraph by paragraph, and from your own terminology glossary: pin the renderings you approve and they are reused across articles.
Beyond translation, LLM-powered learning aids help you study as you read: section guides outline the article before you dive in, and selecting any English text gives you an in-context explanation.
Translation is progressive — your current reading position comes first, no waiting for the whole article — and translations and guides are cached locally, so rereading an article costs no extra tokens.
- Full-article Chinese translation by an LLM, progressively rendered for headings, paragraphs, lists, and quotes.
- Immersive bilingual reading: scroll the source and the translation follows paragraph by paragraph.
- A custom terminology glossary: pin your preferred translations, reused across articles, retranslating only affected paragraphs.
- Section-based reading guides: Chinese titles and summaries of at most three sentences / 150 characters per section.
- Learning aids on selection: translate or ask the LLM to explain selected English in context, and save terms to your glossary. Active only while the side panel is open.
- Local translation and guide caches with a 20-article / 30-day limit.
- Plain-text translation rendering for consistent and safe typography.
- No account, developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising, or telemetry.

manifest.json. - Open the extension options and enter your own DeepSeek API key. Never paste the key into chat, source files, screenshots, or public issues.
- Open a public English article and click the ImmerRead toolbar icon.
The default API base is https://api.deepseek.com, and the default model identifier is deepseek-flash. You may configure any OpenAI-compatible endpoint and model, but article content will then be sent to that provider under its own terms and retention policy.
Keys, settings, glossary entries, and recent caches stay in Chrome local extension storage. Translation and guide requests go directly from the extension to DeepSeek or the compatible endpoint you configure. ImmerRead does not provide API credits and is not currently distributed through the Chrome Web Store.
ImmerRead does not OCR images or translate video, canvas, or interactive content. Complex layouts that cannot be safely linearized stay on the source page. The translation panel intentionally renders plain text instead of copying links or inline typography from the source.
