Milestone
Description
Every check that needs Eric at real hardware, in one list, grouped by device so one session covers it. It replaces #4, #16, #43, #96, #99, #133 and #160 (closed into this; their history stays there). Anything that fails gets its own issue.
iPhone (USB-C) + XR18 through a hub (was #4, #96, #43, #133)
- Note the hub model, iPhone model and iOS version
- The app shows 18 USB Channels with independent signal on each meter; the phone charges through the hub (03. Hardware check: 18 USB Channels from an XR18 on a USB-C iPhone #4)
- Settings > Recording > Sample rate shows only "Interface (48 kHz)" with the XR18 (Record at 96 kHz (and other device sample rates), part of Pro #195)
- During a Take, open and close Settings: the Take, the Armed state and the Mixer Link stay up (Settings: Settings can't disturb a running Take #96)
- A full rehearsal recorded with the screen locked, to the Device and a Drive, every Stem correctly named (42. MVP acceptance: full rehearsal and 3-hour locked run #43)
- A 3-hour locked-screen Take with no Dropouts on both Copies; Stems open in Reaper and whatever else is at hand (42. MVP acceptance: full rehearsal and 3-hour locked run #43)
- Pull the Drive mid-Take and plug it back in: the Drive Copy carries on (The Recorder checks its Destinations itself and says why a Take ended (#299) #307)
- Battery chip and warning; thermal chip at fair/serious/critical if it can be provoked (Battery and thermal 4: check on real devices (Eric) #133)
XR18 commands (was #16; unblocks #20, #21, #24, #27)
Known from 2026-10-10 (Mac, Wi-Fi, firmware 1.20): /xinfo and channel names answer; Find mixers finds it.
- Confirm addresses: channel color, mute, fader, input source, USB routing (USB Channel → Source), Snapshot load (index and name), mute groups 1–4
-
/xremotepush and renewal interval on the real mixer - Do USB SysEx queries get replies (firmware noted)?
- Capture an OSC trace if possible and attach it here
iPad (was #99, #160, #133)
- Settings and the record screen in both orientations
- A Take survives its window being closed and reopened, with a complete Stem
- Battery chip and warning
Mac (was #99, #160, #133)
- Settings layout; MacBook battery chip
- Closing the window mid-Take asks; Keep Recording keeps it, Stop Recording ends it with complete Stems (checked 2026-10-08; recheck after Copy words, Take names, Drive access and Repair each live in one place (#302) #312)
- An hour-long 96 kHz Take on the EVO4: no Dropouts, opens in Reaper at 96 kHz (Record at 96 kHz (and other device sample rates), part of Pro #195)

From #321: with the Mixer Link up, switch the XR18 off and on. The Link should come back by itself (no Retry). The fix is tested only against a fake mixer, which can't reproduce a real power cycle on the Mac.
