The published v2 alpha still had pre-release setup wording and several routine CI updates waiting separately. Make the quick start lead with
eptest.Start(t)andembedded-postgres exec -- TEST_COMMAND, document the working installers and release policy, and record the individual resolutions of the eight issues and four superseded feature PRs.Combine the reviewed updates from #173–#177, preserving the Dependabot commits. Keep CodeQL init/analyze on the same revision and group future Actions updates. Alpine stays pinned: #172 fails because the upstream PostgreSQL bundle needs ICU 74. Both #172 and FreeBSD #169 remain open with individual explanations.
Master branch protection is now enabled for all 13 existing CI checks, an up-to-date base and resolved conversations, including administrators; force pushes and deletion are disabled.
Validation: all 13 Python script tests pass, both workflow/config YAML files parse, local documentation links resolve, and
git diff --checkpasses. The combined Actions matrix must pass before merge; the subsequent master release will exercise the updated provenance action.
