If you want to compute the motion average of your video file, use the following code:
source_video=musicalgestures.MgVideo('/path/to/source/video.avi')
motion_average=source_video.blend(component_mode='average') # average image of the videomotion_average.show() # view result

In order to get the average picture of a video it is now required to call the .blend(component_mode='average') function.
The .average() function was removed from the musical gestures toolbox. Functions that blend two video frames into each other are now accessible with the .blend() function.
