A Claude Code skill that translates user intent and reference song research into Suno-ready Lyrics, Exclude, and Style prompt outputs.
This is not a fully automated generator — it is a translation layer. Every output requires your manual approval before the skill proceeds to the next step.
Suno Copilot has two independent modes that share a memory-based song library:
| Mode | Command | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Research | /suno-copilot research |
Deep-analyze a reference song into a structured DNA file |
| Create | /suno-copilot create |
Generate Lyrics + Exclude + Style from a DNA file and your intent |
- Research mode: dispatches a subagent to gather lyrics, key, chords, BPM, production details, and critical descriptions. Guides a collaborative analysis session across 10 dimensions (5 Lyric DNA + 5 Sound DNA). You hold conclusion authority — Claude's analysis is a starting point, not a verdict.
- Create mode: reads a DNA reference file and your intent, then produces three outputs in sequence — each gated by your explicit approval.
- Embedded Suno knowledge base: style prompt mechanics, genre corpus risk, tag budget rules, lyric field mechanics, V4/V5 differences, and the Weirdness slider.
- Genre corpus bypass: identifies non-generic targets (art-pop, deconstructed R&B, bedroom indie) and generates era-genre hybrids or production texture descriptors to navigate past mainstream corpus matching.
- Metatag embedding: maps structure tags (
[Verse],[Chorus],[Bridge]) and vocal delivery tags ([Whispered],[Belted],[Falsetto]) to lyrics. Warns against the unreliable[Intro]tag. - Exclude generation: 6-dimension exclude list at sub-type specificity — never category-level.

/suno-copilot research
You'll be prompted for the song name and artist (or you can paste lyrics directly). The skill:
- Dispatches a subagent to search for lyrics, key, chords, BPM, production details, and critical descriptions
- Presents findings for your review and correction
- Guides you through Lyric DNA analysis (structure, rhyme scheme, line breaks, imagery, metatag mapping)
- Guides you through Sound DNA analysis (melody, production, harmony, genre corpus assessment, open field)
- Saves the analysis to
memory/suno-research/<artist>-<title>.md
/suno-copilot create
Specify a reference song (reads from the memory library) or proceed with intent only. The skill:
- Asks four intent questions: theme/emotion, core imagery, constraints, language
- Generates a Lyrics draft — loops with revisions until you approve
- Generates an Exclude list — 6 dimensions, sub-type specific — until you approve
- Generates a Style prompt — 9-layer build order, pre-presentation quality check — until you approve
- Presents the complete package: Lyrics + Exclude + Style
