image Versify

Versify is a clone of the Spotify web client but with a darker and starry undertone.

Versify provides a very similar user experience to Spotify online, with a focus on Afropop and R&B genres.

(Note: All music is for non-commercial use as this is a private project.)

Versify is built with a Ruby on Rails back-end, a PostgreSQL database, and React-Redux on the front-end.
It also utilizes AWS S3 for the storage of audio and image files.

Users can:

  • register for a new account or log in as the demo user.
  • view Artist, Playlist, and Album pages.
  • create, edit, and delete playlists.
  • add songs to playlists.
  • add songs to the play queue.
  • play songs.

Future features:

  • Users can view and manipulate their queue.
  • Users can drag-and-drop to re-order songs in their playlists.
  • Users can search for songs, artists, and albums.
  • Users can add Liked songs to their library.
  • Users can view lyrics of the song currently playing. (Hence, "VERSE-ify")
