This functionality will be most useful when combined with the feature proposed in #14 (the DictModel), but could be useful in vanilla Model classes as well. I believe the best way to implement this will be to assign a field its default value at initialization if a value was not provided for it. This would entail modifying the logic within the __init__() and from_dict() factory functions.
